We tried for Kai off and on for almost 9 years. She was a long awaited arrival. We struggled through a liver transplant and she became an icon of hope and miracle for the many people who followed her story.
Like her first year, Kai has never been an "easy" child! In addition to being in and out of the hospital all of her young life, her feisty spirit and bright smile have taken over our lives but, we wouldn't have it any other way. She is our Sunshine and we are so grateful that, once so tiny and fragile, she is alive, strong and able to share her spirit with us today.
Happy birthday, Kai! We love you so much beautiful girl!
