The kids and I will be making the first wave of our move to Ohio Memorial Day weekend, a little over a month away. Ryan will be staying in MD finishing up work on the house and working 4 days/week at his job here in MD and visiting us in OH on the weekends while he looks for a job in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. He has yet to update his resume to send out but, he is hoping that his current company can find something for him out there.
We have mixed feelings about the move; we are so excited to be back near family and childhood friends again. But, we will miss the friends, who have become like family, here in MD. It is for the best, though, as Cincinnati Children's is a pediatric Liver Transplant Hospital and we will have more family nearby to help us when Kai has to have over-night stays. We will still be visiting DC every 6 months or so for Kai's bi-annual check-up with her specialist at Georgetown University and, heaven forbid, if she ever gets really sick/rejects, we will be transferred there.
So, for the folks here in MD, we hope to be able to visit with you before we leave but, if not, we'll be visiting from time to time. Our door will always be open to you if you would like to visit us once we've moved! For the folks in OH/KY... can't wait to see you!
"Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I've got one thing I got to do...
Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Got no time to for spreadin' roots, The time has come to be gone.
And to' our health we drank a thousand times, it's time to Ramble On..."
